  • We collect what you give us through our contact form (name, email, phone, company, your message) and basic technical data when you visit the site (browser, device, anonymised location).
  • We use that information only to reply to your enquiry and to keep the site running.
  • We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site. You can opt out.
  • We do not send marketing emails. Ever.
  • We never sell your data.
  • You can ask us at any time for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it. Email [email protected].

1. Who We Are

This privacy policy applies to AllNu (referred to in this policy as "AllNu", "we", "us", or "our") and the website at https://allnu.digital.

AllNu is an Australian digital agency. We design and build websites, e-commerce stores, and integrations for clients in Australia and internationally.

This policy is written to be compliant with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. What Information We Collect

We collect personal information in two ways: information you give us directly, and information that's collected automatically when you use our website.

Information you give us

When you submit our contact form, you may provide:

  • Your full name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your company or project name (optional)
  • The service you're interested in (optional)
  • Your project budget range (optional)
  • The message you write to us

If you go on to engage AllNu for a project, we may collect additional information needed to deliver that project (for example, billing details, login credentials for systems we're working on, or business documents you share with us). That collection happens under a separate engagement contract and is described there.

Information collected automatically

When you visit allnu.digital, our hosting provider and analytics tools automatically collect:

  • Your IP address (used in anonymised form)
  • Your browser type and version
  • Your device type and operating system
  • The pages you visit, the order you visit them in, and how long you spend on each
  • The website or search term that referred you to us
  • An approximate location (city or region level, derived from your IP address)

We use this information in aggregate to understand site performance and visitor behaviour. We do not use it to identify you personally.

Information we do not collect

  • We do not collect sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act (such as health, racial, political, religious, or sexual-orientation information).
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
  • We do not require you to create an account to use our website.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for a small, defined set of purposes.

To respond to your enquiry. When you submit our contact form, we use your contact details and message to reply to you, ask follow-up questions, and scope the work you're enquiring about.

To deliver work you've engaged us for. If you become a client, we use the information you've shared to deliver the project, communicate with you about progress, and invoice you.

To improve the website. We use anonymous analytics data to understand which pages are useful, where people drop off, and what we should fix or add.

To meet legal obligations. We may use or retain your information where required by Australian law, such as for tax, accounting, or responding to a lawful request from a regulator.

We do not use your information for anything else without your consent.

4. Who We Share Your Information With

We share information only with the third parties needed to run the website and respond to you. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

The third parties we use and what they receive:

Netlify (hosting and form submissions). Our website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., based in the United States. When you submit our contact form, the submission is processed and temporarily stored by Netlify before being forwarded to us. Netlify also collects standard server logs (IP address, user agent) for security and performance. See Netlify's privacy policy at https://www.netlify.com/privacy/.

Google reCAPTCHA (form spam protection). We use Google reCAPTCHA on our contact form to prevent spam and automated submissions. Google may collect device and behavioural information when reCAPTCHA loads on the page. Use of reCAPTCHA is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Terms of Service (https://policies.google.com/terms).

Google Analytics 4 (website analytics). We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use our site. Google receives anonymised data about your visit (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). We use IP-anonymisation features. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the official browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Service providers we engage to deliver client work. If you become a client, we may need to share specific information with named subcontractors (such as a specialist designer or developer) to deliver the project. Any such sharing happens under confidentiality terms and only with the minimum information needed.

Where required by law. We may disclose your information where required by Australian law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AllNu or others.

5. International Data Transfers

AllNu is based in Australia. Some of the service providers we use (Netlify, Google) are based in the United States and may process your information on servers outside Australia.

Where we send your personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. By submitting information through our site, you consent to this overseas transfer.

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, plus any period required by law.

Contact-form submissions: retained for 24 months from the date of submission, then deleted, unless we've engaged in active correspondence or you've become a client.

Client records (correspondence, project files, invoices): retained for 7 years from the end of the engagement, in line with Australian tax and record-keeping requirements.

Analytics data: Google Analytics 4 data is retained for 14 months by default at the user-property level.

Server logs: retained by Netlify in line with their data-retention policy (currently 30 days for access logs).

You can request earlier deletion of your information at any time. See Section 9 below.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (like local storage) for two purposes only:

Essential cookies. These keep the site working. They handle things like remembering whether you've dismissed a banner. You cannot opt out of essential cookies without breaking the site.

Analytics cookies. Google Analytics 4 sets cookies to measure how you use the site. These can be disabled in your browser settings, or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We do not use:

  • Advertising or retargeting cookies
  • Third-party tracking pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag)
  • Cross-site tracking of any kind

8. How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, and disclosure.

This includes:

  • HTTPS encryption across the entire site
  • Secure form submission via Netlify's infrastructure
  • Limited internal access to enquiry data (only AllNu staff working on the enquiry)
  • Regular review of the third-party services we rely on

No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach occurs that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

9. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

Access your information. You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you. We will provide it within 30 days, free of charge, unless your request is unreasonable or repeated.

Correct your information. You can ask us to correct any information that's inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, or misleading.

Delete your information. You can ask us to delete your personal information. We will do so, unless we're required by law to keep it (for example, client invoices retained for tax purposes).

Opt out of analytics. Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), or disable cookies in your browser.

Lodge a complaint. If you're concerned about how we've handled your information, get in touch first at [email protected] and we'll work to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at https://www.oaic.gov.au/.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

10. Marketing

We do not send marketing emails. We do not maintain a marketing list. We do not enrol contact-form submitters into any newsletter, drip campaign, or promotional sequence.

The only emails you'll receive from us are direct replies to your enquiry or, if you become a client, project communications.

If this changes in the future and we introduce an opt-in newsletter, we will update this policy, and any enrolment will be strictly opt-in with a clear unsubscribe option in every email.

11. Anonymity and Pseudonyms

Where it's lawful and practical, you can interact with us anonymously or using a pseudonym. For example, you can read the website without giving us any information.

For our contact form to be useful, we currently require your full name, email address, phone number, and message so we can review your enquiry properly. If you'd rather make initial contact without identifying yourself, email [email protected] from any address and we'll work with what you give us.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when our service providers change or when the law changes.

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, notify you (for example, by email if we have an active engagement with you).
